Education
Sessions, workshops and lessons
The first two sessions are delivered to schools through the Culture Passport scheme. Workshops and lessons are booked directly — for children and adults.
What does an emotion sound like?
We listen to how the same melody changes mood when the tempo, timbre or tuning changes. The children see the cello up close, then draw the emotion they heard.

Graphic score
A hundred years ago composers began writing music down not in notes, but in lines and signs. Small groups create their own graphic score and, in the same lesson, hear it played back on the cello. No musical literacy required — only decisions.

Creative workshops
Workshops in the synthesis of the arts, where music meets word and movement. Participants do not watch — they build: a short shared piece assembled out of sound, text and silence. Suits a class, a team or a family gathering.

Instrument and arts lessons
Individual and group lessons: cello or another instrument of your choice, musical understanding and a feel for the stage. From the first touch to a performance — for children and adults, with no upper age limit.

The first two sessions will be bookable with Culture Passport funding from January 2027, once the application is approved. Until then — by direct agreement with the school: one day, three sessions for different classes, €420.
The price of workshops and lessons depends on the number of participants, the length and the venue — I send a concrete figure with the quote within one working day.

Ceremony
A wedding ceremony, a commemoration, or the musical part of an awards evening or opening. In churches and manor halls the acoustics are often such that no amplification is needed at all.

Alternative concert — performance
A synthesis of the arts: cello, poetry or other texts, dance and image in one work. The programme is built for a specific space rather than moved into it — so a manor cellar or an empty factory floor is an advantage here, not an obstacle.

Turnkey event
The whole event from A to Z in one pair of hands: programme, performers, stage, sound equipment, catering, photographer and the running order of the evening. The organiser is left with one contact and one invoice instead of five.

Prices exclude travel beyond a 60 km radius of Vilnius — past that a rate of €0.25/km applies and is written into the quote. Programmes marked “On request” are priced by line-up, length and venue — I send the exact figure within one working day. Individually arranged pieces and December weekends are priced separately; you see the exact sum in the quote before signing.

About
Music put together as carefully as it is felt
Elena Daunytė is a cellist, a prizewinner at international competitions and a member of the family ensemble Regnum Musicale. She graduated from the M. K. Čiurlionis School of Arts and studied at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester and at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre, in the class of Prof. Rimantas Armonas.
She has played with orchestras in Lithuania and abroad and taken masterclasses with Giovanni Sollima, David Geringas and Frans Helmerson. She has received letters of thanks from Presidents of the Republic of Lithuania Valdas Adamkus and Dalia Grybauskaitė. The music video “Ryto ugnis” was shown in the LRT archive as part of the KLIPVID 2021 competition.

Event organisers need more than music: they need someone who handles the sound, the schedule and the paperwork themselves. That is why every programme here has a clear length, line-up and price — rather than “we'll sort it out on the day”.

Practical questions
Frequently asked
Do you bring your own sound equipment?
Yes. I have a portable sound system that covers a hall of up to number people and small outdoor events. In acoustic spaces the cello often sounds best with no amplification at all.
Can you take care of the whole event, not just the music?
Yes — I call this an event from A to Z. Programme, performers, stage, sound, catering and photographer are arranged through me, and you get one contact and one invoice. If you only need the artistic part of a wedding or a company celebration, that is just as usual.
I am looking for performers for my celebration. Can you help?
Yes. Booking and liaison is a separate service: I select musicians, dancers, vocalists or actors to suit the occasion, the space and the budget, and coordinate their schedules. All you do is choose from the options prepared for you.
Do you teach?
Yes — one-to-one and in groups, children and adults. Cello or another instrument of your choice, musical understanding, a feel for the stage. Beginners need no previous experience.
How does a therapeutic event differ from a concert?
At a concert you listen; in a therapeutic session you take part. Music, word, scent and movement are arranged for a state rather than an effect, so the group is smaller (8–25 people) and the session is led together with a therapist.
How far in advance should a date be booked?
For the Christmas season — from September, since December weekends fill up first. At other times 4–6 weeks is enough.
Do you issue invoices?
Yes. I work under an individual activity certificate no., so I issue invoices and can sign a service contract — which suits the accounting departments of public-sector institutions.
What does travel outside the city cost?
Travel within 60 km of Vilnius is included in the price. Beyond that a rate of €0.25/km applies, stated in the quote rather than added later.
Can the programme be adapted to our occasion?
Yes, and it usually is. Repertoire, length and the spoken part are agreed before the event. If you have a particular piece in mind, say so early — preparation takes time.
What languages do you work in?
Lithuanian, English and Italian. Concerts, educational sessions and conversations for international guests can be led in English or Italian without an interpreter.
What happens if the event is cancelled?
If cancelled more than 14 days before the event, the deposit is returned or moved to another date. Terms for later cancellation are set out in the contract.
